The free version leaves you with an un-bootable system. If your PC doesn't boot after cloning back to the internal new SSD try running the Fixboot command available on the rescue version. After the first successful boot any other Windows drives can be put back. But you have to actually pay for the non-free version if you want to migrate the OS rather than just cloning partitions. Make sure the new clone is the only drive with Windows on it connected in the PC so Windows doesn't get confused when it is first booted.
